WHO WE ARE
Squad III Security Strategies team members have worked professionally as investigators, FBI SWAT, FBI Academy Core Instructors, and protective operations specialists across the globe for over 25 years.
Leadership
GREG BENINATO is a leader in the field of security and consulting. As the Owner and Principal Consultant of Squad III Security Strategies LLC, he collaborates with experts who specialize in coordinating and conducting security assessments for schools, houses of worship, businesses, and homes. In addition, his firm excels in leadership development, interviewing skills, grant writing, safety training, sensitive investigations, and more.
With an impressive background spanning 24 years in the FBI, Greg brings a wealth of expertise. He boasts an honorable service record in the US military and has dedicated over 14 years as a nonprofit board member at Mount Michael High School. Throughout his career, Greg has demonstrated his ability to develop individuals, enhance organizational capacitites, and lead high-stakes programs. His skills in building alliances, advising senior leaders, and effectively communicating ideas and facts set him apart as a true leader.
While at the FBI, Greg served in the Miami, San Juan, and Omaha Field Offices. He was a highly respected member of the Core Faculty at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, where he taught decision-making, core values, ethics, leadership, interview and interrogation techniques, tactics, and report writing. He also had assignments in Pakistan, El Salvador, Colombia, and at FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC.
In recognition that reflects the extensive knowledge, skills, and expertise Greg developed throughout his distinguished career, the FBI acknowledged him as a subject matter expert in violent crime. Specifically, he directed task forces and coordinated programs targeting violent incident crimes, violent gangs, transnational organized crime, violent crimes against children, and human trafficking. In addition, Greg served as an FBI SWAT operator and assistant team leader in both Omaha, Nebraska, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. In Omaha, he supervised FBI Omaha SWAT, overseeing high-risk law enforcement missions.
As the Director of Safety and Security at the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska, Greg ensured a safe and secure environment for the entire campus community. Further, played a pivotal role in developing a comprehensive security program for Hy-Vee in the Omaha, Nebraska, and Council Bluffs, Iowa metropolitan areas.
Greg holds a BS in accounting from St. John’s University in Minnesota and received Spanish Language Training from the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in Monterey, California, as well as Middlebury College in Vermont.
